Celia Keyboard is an app provided by Huawei Software Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei", "we", "us", or "our"), offering a convenient, efficient, secure, and reliable input method. Huawei takes your personal information and privacy seriously, and is committed to taking appropriate security measures to protect your personal information in accordance with relevant laws and established industry security standards.

Summary
You can access the List of Personal Information Collected to briefly learn about the purpose, method, and scope of personal information collection and/or use in Celia Keyboard.
•When you use the voice input feature, your random device identifier, app settings, and voice input will be sent to Huawei, to provide you with the speech-to-text service.
•When you enable and use Cloud suggestions, your input content (Pinyin sequence and content of the last few entries) and the random device identifier will be sent to Huawei to provide you with cloud-based predictions.
•When you use the translation feature, your input content, random device identifier, and operating system information will be sent to Huawei, and the input content will be sent to the third-party service provider, to provide translation services for you.
1 How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
We provide you with the Trial and Full modes for you to use Celia Keyboard. In Trial mode, we do not collect or process any of your personal data, and do not require any of your permissions. If you want to get a better input experience, you can enable Full mode. You can switch between the modes at any time by going to Settings > Input > Service mode in Celia Keyboard. In Full mode, we provide you with the following features:
We will provide you with the features described below through Celia Keyboard. To fulfill our contractual obligations, we will process information required for providing the features as described below when you use such features. If you do not provide the related information, your use of the features in this app will be affected.
Local features
We provide you with a number of local features, which only process your personal data locally:
•To provide you with a better local input experience, we store, locally on your device, the contacts lexicon (containing only contact names) and lexicon of words/phrases you have entered previously. When you use the input method to enter names and any content you have previously entered, we will quickly and accurately provide you with the correct candidate words.
•We also provide the offline voice input feature. After you download and enable the offline voice resource package, we will complete voice recognition locally based on your input content, which will be deleted once the recognition is complete.
•If you enable Automatically sync contacts after granting the Contacts permission, we will sync your contact names to your lexicon at an interval of 24 hours, while you can alternatively manually sync your contact names to your lexicon. If you touch a contact name that we have matched for you, we will read your contacts list information to obtain the contact's phone number, email address, and address to display the contact card for you to quickly select and insert; however, we will not store such information. In addition, when using the offline voice input feature, you can select Optimize contact name recognition to accurately recognize contact names.
•We provide you with the clipboard feature. Content in this feature is sourced from the system clipboard, which enables you to quickly paste what you have just copied as your input. If you do not need this service, you can disable it by opening Celia Keyboard, going to Settings > Input, and turning off Enable clipboard, which will not affect your use of other services.
•We provide you with the ability to create custom quotations and stickers. You can create your quotations based on text you enter or text from your clipboard. You can also create your stickers based on images in your Gallery after granting the Storage (Media and files) permission. We will read images in your Gallery only when you use this feature.
•In addition, we provide you with the verification code extraction feature. If you have granted the Messaging permission, then when an SMS message with a verification code is just received, we will only locally obtain the verification code through SkyTone or extract the code from the SMS message content, but will not extract other content from the SMS message. If you do not need this service, you can disable it by opening Celia Keyboard, going to Settings > Input, and disabling Extract SMS verification codes, which will not affect your use of other services.
Online services
When you enable and use the Cloud suggestions feature, we will upload the Pinyin sequence you entered, content of the last few entries, and device identifier to the Huawei server in encrypted form. Such data will not be retained on the Huawei server but will be immediately deleted after being processed, nor will it be sent to any third-party service provider.
If you enable full sentence suggestions, we will suggest relevant phrases and sentences based on your input content, for which we will collect your input content and device identifier and upload them to the Huawei server. Such data will not be retained on the Huawei server but will be immediately deleted after being processed, nor will it be sent to any third-party service provider.
To provide you with the voice input feature, when you use this feature after granting the Microphone permission, we will upload your voice input, app settings, and random device identifier to the server in encrypted form for processing. Such data will be immediately deleted after the processing is complete, and will not be retained on the server. It will not be sent to third-party service providers either. In addition, after you enable Identify contacts, we will read your contact names and upload them to the Huawei server for processing and storage to accurately identify contact names for you. However, the data will not be sent to third-party service providers.
To help you enter specialist terms more easily and accurately, we will load relevant specialized dictionaries based on your usage information. If you do not need this feature, you can open Celia Keyboard, go to Settings > Input, and disable Recommendations.
We also provide you with the account-based syncing feature. If you enable this feature, we will collect your local lexicon, contacts lexicon, HUAWEI ID information, random device identifier, basic app information, and app usage information, as well as custom creations (custom stickers, custom quotations, and favorited 3D avatar stickers) and related specialized dictionaries. Such information is stored only on the Huawei server and will not be shared with any third-party service provider.
To provide you with the most searched keyword feature, we will collect your input content, basic app information, operating system information, device hardware information, and system settings and upload them to the Huawei server. Such data will not be linked with any of your identifiers, including the random device identifier, or shared with any third party. Your historical input content will be uploaded after being added with random noise through the differential privacy protection technology. The data processed with the differential privacy protection technology is not personally identifiable. After the most searched keywords are generated on the cloud, they will be sent to your device so that you can use them in a timely manner for a better input experience.
To provide you with the translation feature, we will collect your input content, random device identifier, and operating system information and upload them to the Huawei server. We will send to the third-party service provider your input content only, and will not link it with your device.
We also provide you with the item purchase and rewarding services. When you make a purchase or give a reward, we will collect your HUAWEI ID information (including profile picture) and transaction information. Such information is stored only on the Huawei server and will not be shared with any third-party service provider. The transaction information will be retained for seven (7) years and will be automatically deleted after the period expires.
To provide you with the search service, we will collect your search query and HUAWEI ID information. Such data will not be retained on the Huawei server but will be immediately deleted after being processed, nor will it be shared with any third-party service provider.
We provide you with the Scan input feature, which uses the capabilities from HUAWEI Assistant. For detailed specifications, see the privacy statement of HUAWEI Assistant.
We provide you with the 3D avatar sticker service, which uses the 3D avatar capabilities from HUAWEI ID. For detailed specifications, see the privacy statement of HUAWEI ID. We will store the 3D avatar you have created on your device locally so that it can be displayed in real time; however, we will not share it with any third party.
We provide you with the Celia writer service. If you use this feature, we will use AI technologies to generate richer and wonderful text based on your input, HUAWEI ID information, and device identifier. Such data from selected users will be saved to the Huawei server. This feature is available only to some device models.
We provide you with the concern reporting feature. When you use this feature, we will collect your HUAWEI ID information, random device identifier, contact information, input content (including reporting reasons or concern description), and concern reporting records. Such data will be stored on the Huawei server in encrypted form, will not be shared with third parties, and will be automatically deleted upon the expiry of a period of two (2) years. If you do not provide the aforementioned information, we may not be able to verify your concern or get back to you in a timely manner.
We may push service notifications for you based on your device identifier for this app, operating system information, current device user nickname, network information, and data in connection with your use of other related Huawei apps. To unsubscribe from the notifications, you can withdraw your consent by going to system Settings > Notifications > Celia Keyboard > Allow notifications.
Feedback
The Feedback feature allows you to submit your questions and suggestions regarding your use of the services.
When you use the Feedback feature, we will collect your device identifier, feedback, contact information (email address or mobile number), app usage information, images, and videos. The purpose of collecting such information is to analyze the collected information, improve the app and services, and provide you with a better user experience.
Product O&M
To measure and analyze the usage of each feature of Celia Keyboard, continuously improve our products and services, and improve your usage experience, we will collect your device identifier, device model, network information, basic app information, and app usage information, which will be used to optimize our product design and provide you with better services.
We may collect and process your information described below for fulfilling our legal obligations or under other circumstances specified by laws and regulations:
Security risk control and audit
Based on regulatory requirements, we will collect the HUAWEI ID, device identifier, and text information from selected users of the Celia writer feature of Celia Keyboard and upload the information to the Huawei server through a secure transmission channel, to fulfil purposes related to the use of the AI generation feature. You must comply with the related constraints in the Celia Keyboard User Agreement if you use this feature.
2 Required Permissions
Microphone: This permission is required for us to provide the voice input service. You can use the voice input feature after granting this permission. If you do not need this service, you can revoke this permission at any time. Your use of the basic local features of Celia Keyboard will not be affected.
Contacts: You can choose to grant the Contacts permission for us to obtain your contacts list information, in order to precisely match candidate contact names for you to enter or to precisely recognize contact names from your voice input. If you do not need this service, you can revoke this permission at any time. Your use of other services will not be affected.
Messaging: To enable you to quickly input SMS verification codes, we need to extract verification codes from your SMS content (but will not extract other content). If you do not need this service, you can revoke this permission at any time. Your use of other services will not be affected.
Storage (Media and files): When you preview or upload images or videos using the Custom sticker or Feedback feature, we require this permission to read content of your device's storage in order to serve you accordingly. If you do not need this service, you can revoke this permission at any time. Your use of other services will not be affected.
You can manage the permissions for this app from system Settings.
3 Protection of Minors
We attach great importance to the protection of minors' personal information. Huawei will strictly comply with national laws and regulations and thereby provide protection for minors when they use the services. If you are a minor, your parents or legal guardians must agree to your use of this app, and agree to the applicable terms and conditions. Parents or legal guardians should also take appropriate precautions to protect minors, including monitoring their use of this app.
In particular, if you are a child (a minor under the age of 14), please make sure to notify your parents or legal guardians about carefully reading with you this Statement and the Huawei Consumer Business Statement About Children's Privacy Protection specifically formulated by us before you use our services, and use our services or provide information to us with the consent and guidance of your parents or legal guardians. If you are a parent or legal guardian, please ensure that the child under your guardianship uses our services and provides us with information with your consent or guidance.
4 Third-Party SDKs
To provide you with social sharing features, we have integrated software development kits (hereinafter referred to as "SDKs") or other similar programs of our partners. For details, please refer to the Third-Party SDK List.
5 Managing Your Personal Information
Huawei highly respects your concerns regarding personal information, and you are provided with the following data subject rights and options.
5.1 Access your information
You can obtain a copy of your personal information that Huawei stores in relation to your HUAWEI ID by logging in to Huawei Privacy Center using your HUAWEI ID in a browser on your computer or mobile device and then clicking or touching Obtain your data copy. On your Huawei mobile device, you can also obtain such a copy by going to system Settings > Account center > Privacy center > Obtain your data copy.
5.2 Delete your information
You can delete your locally stored personal information, including offline voice resource package and contact name lexicon, as well as historical word/phrase lexicon, at any time by going to Settings > Apps & services (or Apps) > Apps > Celia Keyboard > Storage, and touching CLEAR DATA.
5.3 Disable service
You can go to Settings > About > DISABLE SERVICE to stop Celia Keyboard from collecting and using your personal information. You can select DELETE PERSONAL DATA ON CLOUD in addition. If you do so, your personal data stored on the Celia Keyboard server will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored. Exercise caution when performing this operation.
You can log out of your HUAWEI ID and continue to use Celia Keyboard in guest mode.

6 Information Storage Location and Retention Period
The aforementioned information will be sent to and stored on servers in the People's Republic of China.
We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Statement, and delete or anonymize your personal information beyond the time set out below, except as otherwise required by applicable laws and regulations.
After you delete your HUAWEI ID, your lexicon, custom creations, HUAWEI ID, system usage information, and basic app information saved on the Huawei server will be deleted immediately.
For the most searched keyword feature, we store your input content (added with random noise to protect your privacy), basic app information, operating system, device hardware information, and system settings. Such information will not be linked with any of your identifiers, including the random device identifier. It will be retained for one (1) year and then be automatically deleted.
In the case of purchases and rewarding, we will retain your transaction information, which will be automatically deleted in seven (7) years.
For the offline voice input feature, if you have selected Optimize contact name recognition, we will permanently retain your contact names, which, however, will only be stored locally on your device and will not be uploaded to any Huawei server.
For the concern reporting feature, we will store your HUAWEI ID, random device identifier, contact information, input content (including reporting reasons or concern description), and concern reporting records in encrypted form. Such information will be retained for two (2) years and then automatically deleted.
For the Feedback feature, the feedback you provide and the service records will be retained for two (2) years from the date of generation.
For the voice input feature, your contact names collected when you have enabled Identify contacts will be retained by us on the Huawei server for one (1) month and then automatically deleted.
In the context of security risk control and audit, we will collect the HUAWEI ID information, device identifier, and text information from selected users, upload the information to the Huawei server, and retain it there for up to six (6) months, except that the HUAWEI ID of a user will be permanently retained in the event that their account is suspended.
As part of our product operation and maintenance, we will store your device identifier, device model, network information, basic app information, and app usage information. Such information, which is used for statistical analysis, will be retained for one (1) year and then automatically deleted.
In the event that we discontinue our products or services, we will notify you in the form of a push notification or announcement, and delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period of time.

You may also consult us regarding the available channels for voicing your complaint.
